In The Club vol. 2

Hooray! I have just finished a brand new mixtape, called “In The Club vol. 2″. The “In The Club” mixes are mainly R&B, Hip-Hop and mainstream tracks. This time around I have concentrated on R&B and different Hip-Hop tracks. Download, listen and enjoy. And maybe burn a cd and bring it next time you’re going to a party! Or even get your hands on a cd with printed design. I will probably bring some copies to the DJ booth when I’m playing in the club.

Retro Mix aka. Crazy Mix

OK, so here’s the story. I listened the Lionel Richie song “All Night Long”, and I just felt like making a new mix. A mix that was nothing like anything I’ve ever done. Well, in the sense that I only mixed old songs this time. From the 70′s to some time in in the 90′s (and maybe some from this decade). So, 3 minutes later, I was already recording the new mix. Everything was on the kick (a Norwegian expression translated to english that means that it was done on the fly, haha).

So, 38 tracks, 1 hour, 19 minutes and 30 seconds later I had something. Something that I wasn’t sure if I should publish or just keep it on my computer. But the result was actually not so bad. If you like all kinds of music. You know, old music. Different kinds of music. Ah, just look at the tracklist.

Anyway, it was a fun and unusual mix to do.

Barbeint – November 8

Clubbing

Some pictures from my gig at Barbeint in Bodø, November 8th 2008.

When it was 30-40 minutes left of the night, I managed to break the needle on one of my pickups. This was actually the first time that ever has happened to me. And since someone currently is borrowing my backup pickup, I had to switch the Serato to internal-mode, and then switch the pickup from one turntable to to the other after each and every song… Not a huge deal, but I am glad that I didn’t have to do that for more that 40 minutes.
